"First of all, I would like to express my biggest gratitude to AHR and RIBA for honouring me with the generous scholarship. Since arriving here to embark my journey in architecture, I have been immensely loved, supported, and inspired by the diverse architecture community. Last but not least, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my tutors, colleagues at Muf, family and friends who have showered me with their generous kindness, patience and love. And rejections and failures which have strengthened me. I look forward to sharing my research."
The judges were also impressed by the work of Emily Priest, Architectural Association and AHR generously awarded her an additional £1,000 as a commendation prize.
The judging panel consisted of from Laura Collins (Arcadis LLP and previous recipient of the scholarship), Jane Duncan (RIBA President), Brian Johnson (Director, AHR), David Simister (Creative Director, AHR) and Tony Watson (Education Trust Funds Committee).
Portfolios from Boon and Emily can be downloaded from the RIBA website.
