THIS PROJECT REPRESENTS ALL THAT IS BEST IN PUBLIC PRIVATE COLLABORATION. THE PROJECT WAS INITIATED BY A LOCAL VOLUNTARY GROUP, TAKEN TO THE PARK RANGERS AND THE COUNCIL, FUNDING POSSIBILITIES IDENTIFIED AND IS NOW ATTRACTING THE ATTENTION OF PRIVATE INVESTORS.
A masterplan for a range of red, blue and green mountain bike trails was designed in conjunction with respected trail designer Paul Masson to suit all riding abilities. The disused Brownside Farm in the heart of the Country Park was identified as a suitable HUB facility where café, bike shop and repair / hire opportunity could co-exist with educational space and relocated Ranger facility. We carefully balanced the need for re-invigoration of this part of Gleniffer Braes, whilst maintaining the existing rural character. These facilities are within 40 minute drive of over 2 million people resulting in the economic potential calculating a very convincing argument for investment.
