  • Michael recently celebrated his 25 year anniversary with the Practice.  He started his career with AHR in the Birmingham office, having studied at both Birmingham and Demontfort Schools of Architecture.  His early career included a wide variety of projects in the Retail, Residential, Commercial, Health and Pharmaceutical sectors.  Most notable during this period was the design and delivery of the European Logistics Centre in the Netherlands for Amgen, the world’s largest independent biotechnology firm.

In 2002, Michael relocated to the south west and led the development of our office in Bristol.  Here he expanded the Practice's experience in the Education sector leading PFI, BSF and Academy schools projects across the region.  Michael was Project Director for Nailsea School and for Writhlington School, which won the “Best UK Secondary School” award from BCSE in 2012.

In 2009, he moved to our London office becoming Managing Director in 2011.  Michael has focused on Mixed-Use Masterplanning and Transportation, currently overseeing projects in the Middle East, Kazakhstan and London, including the recently completed passenger interchange for Terminal 2 at Heathrow.

Michael has served on several Boards and has led the Practice’s marketing and business development initiatives. He currently oversees the Practice sector groups and is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Transport Sector Group.

With a keen interest in the continued development of London as a leading international city, Michael has recently become a member of the London Chamber of Commerce Property and Construction committee and representatives the Practice as a member of the City Property Association.
