The new five bay fire station provides a strong frontage on the corner of Water Lane and Temple Back. A key aim in the design was to reignite the rich historic narrative of the site through its form, rhythm of the façades and material choices. This was achieved through using interesting patterns in the brick work to add interest and a craft element in the design that would have been present on pre-war façades.
