  • Upton Village, the former Plaistow Hospital, designed by PCKO, an AHR company, for Peabody, has been shortlisted in the Housing Design Awards 2017.

The Housing Design Awards champion skill, innovation, excellence and sustainability in housing design. This year will see the continuation of the Housing Design Awards’ original purpose, to explain what residents think about innovative design and whether it can be replicated.

The award winners will be announced at a ceremony led by a Minister of State in London on the evening of Monday 10th July. There are over 20 judges on the panel, representing all Government departments and agencies, major professional institutes, and organisations relevant to housing supply and design.

The full shortlist can be viewed here.

This adds to a number of recent award successes for Upton Village, including winning the ‘Most Innovative Affordable Housing Scheme’ award at the Housing Innovation Awards 2017 and being shortlisted in the ‘Best New Places to Live’ category in the London Planning Awards 2017.
