WE ARE PROUD OF OUR AWARD-WINNING AND SHORTLISTED PROJECTS THROUGHOUT 2020 AND 2021. EVEN WITH ALL THE CHALLENGES THE YEAR HAS GIVEN US, OUR TEAMS HAVE CONTINUED TO CREATE FANTASTIC WORK ACROSS THE REGION AND BEYOND FOR OUR CLIENTS. WE'RE PLEASED THAT SO MANY OF OUR PROJECTS HAVE BEEN RECOGNISED FOR AWARDS.

Our award-winning projects include UKHO Headquarters in Taunton which has continued to build upon last year's award success, as well as The Spine, the new northern home of the Royal College of Physicians, UWE's School of Engineering, Swansea University's IMPACT Building, Abbey Area Phase 2 in Camden and Sovereign Design House at The University of Huddersfield.

We are also delighted to have won Education (Nursery to 6th form) Architect of the Year at the Building Design 2021 Architect of the Year Awards and Architects of the Year at Insider Yorkshire Property Industry Awards. As well as being shortlisted for several other practice awards across the regions.

We'd like to extend a congratulations to all those involved in these projects as we celebrate the achievements of our built environment and work together to create an increasingly sustainable and healthy world. UKHO HEADQUARTERS
The headquarters for the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO) is a bespoke and inspiring three storey office building for one of the world's leading geospatial information companies, designed to cultivate collaboration and prioritise connectivity. The highly durable and agile building supports a cultural shift towards a way of working that can meet the UKHO's needs for decades to come.

Awards
UKHO Headquarters continues to build upon previous success, winning BCO Best of the Best and Corporate Workplace at the National Awards. This is the second time the practice has won Best of the Best, the first coming for Kenysham Civic Centre & One Stop Shop. Other notable awards for UKHO includes two RIBA Regional Awards and Commercial Development of the Year winner at the Insider South West Property Awards.

THE SPINE
The Spine, the new northern home for the Royal College of Physicians (RCP), has been designed to achieve WELL Platinum Standard. It is on track to be one of the healthiest workspaces for mental health and wellbeing in the UK, as well as BREEAM Excellent (shell and core) and BREEAM Outstanding (RCP fit-out).

IMPACT BUILDING, SWANSEA UNIVERSITY
The Institute for Innovative Materials, Processing and Numerical Technologies (IMPACT) is a state-of-the-art engineering research institute providing a unique co-location facility for ambitious research and development. The transformative design combines laboratory and office space to provide a unique collaborative environment and enables closer working relationships for academia-industry partnerships.

UWE ENGINEERING
The University of the West of England's (UWE), School of Engineering, delivers a new academic building which supports the University's vision of promoting multi-disciplinary collaborative learning and reflects the importance of the subject area in the regional economy. Open spaces that invite extensive natural light across multiple stepping floor plates set the scene for the faculty's new facility which delivers an inspiring place of learning.

LANGARTH GARDEN VILLAGE
Langarth Garden Village is a vibrant, connected and nature-led development for between 8,000 and 10,000 future residents of Cornwall. Our masterplan instills a strong-sense of local character amongst abundant green space and sustainability-led decisions to create a distinctive community that will live and thrive by the benefits of a place truly in-tune with its surroundings, the people that live there and the wider world.

SOVEREIGN DESIGN HOUSE YORKSHIRE, UNIVERSITY OF HUDDERSFIELD
AHR's unique perspective, having originally designed the bath house in 1954, enabled Sovereign Design House to protect, respect and enhance its historic Grade II-listed features in a way like no other refurbishment - creating a contemporary and stimulating space that showcases why revisiting designs should not be a rarity.

ABBEY AREA PHASE 2
Abbey Area Phase 2 combines community and health services into one modern building, providing a sustainable solution to meet local needs. The community-driven facility benefits from an integrated approach. Our design creates a healthy and friendly environment with strong connections to the newly improved landscape that welcomes the community and provides a sustainable solution.
