POSSILPARK HEALTH CENTRE

  • THIS £6.3M SCHEME IS A CORNERSTONE OF THE GLASGOW AND CLYDE REGENERATION PLAN FOR A DERELICT AREA. IT INVOLVES A RELOCATION FROM EXISTING 1970S PREMISES ON DENMARK STREET AND IS DESIGNED TO LEND THE CENTRE GREATER CIVIC PRESENCE THROUGH MORE ACCESSIBLE AND PROMINENT POSITIONING WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.
  • The Centre consists of four GP surgeries, dentist, community dentist, and CHCP accommodation - including child development, podiatry, physiotherapy, and community social work. This is contained in a circa 3120m2 building with grounds to the rear and a detached energy centre.

The project has evolved with extensive design development and consultations with all of the identified user groups.  This has established an accommodation schedule and the technical specifications for the project.

Based on the “one stop shop” principle patients will be able to access many different services during a single visit. It is designed with up to date material standards for function and infection control and to achieve a BREEAM rating of 'Excellent'.
